Perfect Oak Rocker

We now have two Woven Oak rockers from Cracker Barrel, one at home (inside) and the other at the beach house (second story porch). They are wonderfully comfortable and very sturdy. When grandkids come to visit they are a must. We gifted our daughters and daughter-in-laws each with one as a first baby shower gift. (I recommend purchasing them assembled or getting a handy man to do that job as we did.)

The rocker is of high quality and sturdy enough to pass down generation to generation and to withstand weather conditions outside under an overhang.

very poor pictures with the instructions

This was a very difficult chair to put together. There was only 1 hole that I could find in the bottom of seat. So I had to figure out how to space the seat(leaving equal space in all four corners or put against back posts. I finally got it all put together to the point of putting rockers on bottom and they do not fit. I think I followed all directions as I understood them and I don't know what is wrong. I am not happy. The quality of the chair seems very good but when you can't use it as a rocker what good is it.

Don't bother unless you're a carpenter

I ordered two of these, figuring they would be nice to have on the balcony of my apartment.

I attempted to assemble one. I followed the instructions as carefully as I could. I noticed that the holes in the bottom of the seat either were never drilled, or were merely impossible to find under the weaving. Still, fair enough, I can muscle a couple of screws in if I need to.

I can't even describe the agony of the next hour. Grunting and screaming and hammering, I managed to add some new grooves to my hardwood floor (I placed the cardboard box down under it like it instructed me to, but it still managed to slide off it while i was trying to muscle things into place), and have a...-mostly- assembled rocker, but with one armrest out of its hole (I was short a screw, and when I muscled the rocker on, the armrest popped out). I'm not sure if I'm going to try to return the other, or just throw it out as well.
