Cute little fellow, isn't he? It's a stuffed monkey made from two socks. One for the body, the other for the tail, arms, mouth, and ears. When times were tight, mothers made toys for their children from everyday items. Durable red-heeled work socks were perfect for making sock monkeys. Popular during the Great Depression, these genuine old time sock monkeys are still made by hand in Ozark, Missouri. This little fellow is part of our American Pride Collection and is decorated with red, white and blue, and has "USA" embroidered on his chest.
